Advent: Justice

When justice seems displaced by evil men

And cries against oppressors seem unheard

Remember Jesus Christ will come again

He will not rest til justice is secured.

The meek will marvel at the words of grace

Which fall like purest water from His lips

Though with His very breath He will erase

The wicked from the earth. He will eclipse

The strength of the accusers deathly claim

And end the rule of tyrants over men.

He’s working still, to glorify His name

And offer hope to all men bound in sin.

So look to Him who will end suffering.

Take heart, O captives, and behold your King!
